Your Accommodation
Accommodating 4 adults or 2 adults + 2 children, St.Reatham cottage is a beautiful 100 year old stone house that combines the look and feel of a country cottage with the luxury and amenities of a modern home. This holiday cottage has an entrance porch leading into a wonderful, cosy, open-plan lounge/dining room, through to a wonderfully modern, fitted kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with a cooker and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, airfryer with tea and coffee-making facilities. The lounge has a Smart HD TV complete with Freeview, Netflix, Amazon, and Sky TV. The utility area has a washing machine and dryer.
Further through you will find a fully equipped family bathroom, complete with a bath and separate walk-in shower. The handy extension next door to this (perfect for storing boots or cleaning your hound) leads into the stunning, tranquil garden. Complete with beautiful patio furniture that is west facing all day or the cosy love seats for the early morning sun overlooking the countryside and hills beyond. The garden has a lovely grassed area which is great for kids to play on and is fully enclosed to keep your pooch safe. Finished with lovely pots and flowers and a patio with tables and chairs and a BBQ. It is a great area for outside dining or a glass of wine.
From the lounge a short flight of stairs leads to the main master bedroom, equipped with a large modern ensuite bathroom. With a king-size bed, plenty of wardrobe space, a chest of draws and smart TV with Netflix and Prime. There are beautiful views across to the hills and countryside beyond. A hairdryer is also provided. Our super comfy beds are supplied with 100% cotton bed linen and mattress toppers as standard.
Also on this floor is the beautiful Twin room, again with plenty of wardrobe space and hangers for your clothes. This room also has a hair dryer for your use.
What you need to bring
Please bring your normal holiday items and beach towels as these are not provided. If you are bringing your hound, please bring a towel to wipe them down. The cottages are provided with some complimentary items on your arrival such as teabags, hot chocolate, coffee, plenty of condiments and oils, biscuits. Dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, toilet rolls, and soap are all provided as standard.
Dogs
We love our hound Bertie and you are very welcome to bring yours as well to our dog-friendly cottage. We accept one medium size dog (Springer Spaniel as an example) but ask that you do not let them go upstairs at any time. There are bowls for your dog, some poo bags and treats are left for your arrival. There is a side entrance into the extension from the street (keep to the left-hand side of the front wall, through the shared gate and the door on your right) that has a blower to dry your dog off and clean them off before entering the property.
Parking / Charging.
The cottage has private driveway parking for one car, or there is free street parking close by. We do not allow EV charging at or from the property please.
Smoking / Vaping
We have a strict non-smoking and vaping policy inside the cottage. Please feel free to smoke outside but dispose of any cigarettes before the end of your stay.
